Background (such as I recall it): No clue. An overnight solo hike to the summit of Mount San Gorgonio, California. Mount San Gorgonio is the tallest peak in Southern California at 11,503 feet. The freeway in the last couple shots at the end (this is 1972) might be Interstate 10 out to Palm Springs. Maybe. Ektachrome slides.
