This was really the first big deadline: on August 28, 2012, the admin staff and the teachers had to be able to get into the VHS buildings to start getting ready for the upcoming school year. Which meant that the construction perimeter had to be almost completely reset to the configuration that would be permanent through the majority of the construction cycle. Which meant that anything *outside* of that perimeter had to either be finished, or under secure cover. Skanska made it!

I got a little tour of the entire new perimeter with Sharon (Skanska: site access and safety) including a walk down to the location of the new septic system, where work was still underway and which I hadn't yet seen.

I took basically two laps of the perimeter, one with Sharon and one without, and then went over to McMurray and walked back to the Stadium to get some photos from the top of the bleachers.

The Tunnel: the new entry to A building, the Admin offices, the Commons, the Theater, etc. There's some plan to have the kids paint the new plywood walls on the right.

The wall will be finished to completely enclose the A Building because at least one corner of the new high school will be just feet away.

At the far end of the pedestrian walkway on the edge of the parking lot. C Building was dead ahead. Gym and the Stadium are off down the new gravel driveway just out of the photo to the right.
