Tech: these videos were shot with my new Canon Cinema EOS C100 video camera in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec. Audio was taken from the C100's onboard stereo mics, recording 24 Mbps 16-bit stereo in full-auto mode. Video post-processing was done in Adobe Premier Pro CC, audio post-processing (if any) was done in Adobe Audition CC. For Strawberry Festival weekend I mounted the EOS C100 on my monopod for portability (I do the entire Festival on foot since I live within walking distance)
These videos were uploaded in 1080p YouTube HD.
One more note. Loose Change was shot at the end of an excruciatingly long weekend for me, given that I do all three days of the entire Festival on foot. So I had to sit down. That meant I had to shoot through who ever happened to be dancing. I dialed-in 6 stops with the C100's built-in neutral density filter and adjusted the exposure accordingly to get as wide-open an aperture (and as short a depth of field) as possible, but the 24-105mm EF zoom I was using is only an f4.0, so... it kinda worked. Then, the lighting itself was a very hard, low, full sunlight or deep shadow, with a blindingly-white frame at the top from the tent roof and the light-colored wall of the library behind. All-in-all something less than optimal, and I just didn't have the patience to screw with the exposure endlessly. So, yeah...
