Question:
It's time to wrap up now. Thanks for the great chat. Any final thoughts?
Webmaster -- Anytown, USA -- 1998/11/25 17:48

Answer:
Okay. I just want to thank everybody for those questions and I enjoyed talking with everyone. I hope I was of some help, and maybe they can catch me at a game sometime. Watch tomorrow and pray that I make my freethrows -- if I get to the line!

Question:
i saw you at the Final Four and I really enjoyed your energy of play. You bring energy to the Rage also. I think you are the Future of the Rage. But there is alot of experience on the the Rage too. How do you like working with the "Legend" Teresa Edwards.
Beryl A. Jones -- Morrisville -- 1998/11/25 17:42

Answer:
Thank you for the compliment. I'm just enjoying playing pro basketball and just trying to make the best of the opportunity. I'm really excited everyday that I go to practice with Teresa Edwards. It's like a dream come true! I had her poster on the wall in my bedroom! So, I'm enjoying myself.

Question:
The ABL is a tough, physical league. The paint is dominated by strong post players that dictate. What are you going to do to get stronger?
Frogger -- Long Beach -- 1998/11/25 17:40

Answer:
I just work hard everyday. We have some good post players on the Rage with Taj and Cass, so I work hard against them to get stronger everyday.

Question:
Chasity we miss ya at NCSU ,Will you do any in North Carolina over the summer? And Im a senior at Farmville what advice would you give a center post at 5'11 wanting to play Divsion I basketball?
Delveta Joyner -- Farmville,NC -- 1998/11/25 17:39

Answer:
I do plan to be back in North Carolina at camps over the summer. I enjoy helping out at camps. My advice would be, although you play the post in high school, work on the perimeter and jumpers. Maybe you can get together and play against a guy or something who can help you out on the perimeter.

Question:
How do you think NC State will do this season, and do you think Summer Erb can do a good job filling in for you? They look like they'll be tough to beat,
NE Blizz -- New England -- 1998/11/25 17:33

Answer:
I think NC State should do really well this year. I think Erb will do fine on the inside. The whole team got to see how the final four was, and I'm sure they want to get back. I'm sure if they keep that goal in front of them and keep working hard, they'll be tough to beat this year.

Question:
Everybody seems to think you are a spunky, friendly, gregarious player. How would you describe yourself?
Frogger -- Long Beach -- 1998/11/25 17:35

Answer:
I would describe myself as silly, laid back, and easy goin' -- except on the court.

Question:
How do you feel about Dawn Stanley leave the ABL and going to the WNBA
Kenyata -- Dallas -- 1998/11/25 17:32

Answer:
I would have really loved to play with her, but I respect her decision and wish her well. I think it's great right now that a woman has a choice about which league she wants to play in in the U.S. I think Dawn made a choice, and we should just let her go with her choice.

Question:
Do you play any other sports besides b-ball? If so, what?
Cleo -- MS -- 1998/11/25 17:24

Answer:
I play volleyball, softball, I bowl and shoot pool. I play tennis somewhat. I'm really competitive, so I play a lot.

Question:
Do you feel that the Rage and Quest game on Thanksgiving is a ABL championship preview?
Michael Lewis -- Albuquerque -- 1998/11/25 17:28

Answer:
I really don't know, but whoever wins, we'll be tied for first. I think it's going to be a really great game. I think it's a little early in the season to say, but our team gelled early and that's been a help.

Question:
hi chas why did you choose the abl over the wnba?
stacy -- long island -- 1998/11/25 17:28

Answer:
The ABL provided a lot more benefits to me, and I get to play during the year instead of in the summertime -- that's mainly why.

Question:
Besides Philly, where have you enjoyed playing the most so far?
NE Blizz -- New England -- 1998/11/25 17:27

Answer:
So far, I like playing in New England because of the crowd. I'm looking forward to knowing millions of people can watch us on TV tomorrow.

Question:
Who is the most physical player you have faced?
Susan V -- Dover -- 1998/11/25 17:25

Answer:
I would have to say -- Nashville Noise -- Venus Lacy.

Question:
how is playing on the team with Teresa Edwards?
Cleo -- MS -- 1998/11/25 17:17

Answer:
I love playing with T -- she's always getting on me but in a really positive way. I think she's always trying to make me a better player It's interesting to find out that great players like her really do work hard all the time.

Question:
The Seattle players went into the stands before a game to say hi to the fans, maybe the Rage can try that, and give out free popcorn as well! :)
Cindy -- Battle Ground -- 1998/11/25 17:23

Answer:
We talk to our fans! That's not a problem. We plan to do something special because it's Thanksgiving.

Question:
What do you usually do to unwind after a game?
Cleo -- MS -- 1998/11/25 17:19

Answer:
I like to go to TGIF's and talk to all my family members -- my sisters and brothers and my parents. Almost all of them will be there tomorrow, but I usually talk to them on the phone.

Question:
Why are so many players getting ACL injuries?
Susan V -- Dover -- 1998/11/25 17:18

Answer:
I do not know. But I just hope and pray that I can stay healthy the whole year.

Question:
With all that has happened to the Quest this week, do you guys think you might have a big advantage tomorrow?
NE Blizz -- New England -- 1998/11/25 17:18

Answer:
The only way we have an advantage is if we get more rebounds. From being a rookie, I can see that Columbus will come to play hard. It might work for us but it might work against us. They might pull together as a team. But we're ready.

Question:
Hi Chasity--how do you find the fans in Philly?
Nancy -- PA -- 1998/11/25 17:16

Answer:
From the ones we've had so far, I really like them. I just wish more would come out! But our hope is, the more we win, the more people will come back.

Question:
Chasity, do you have an e-mail address where fans can write you?
NE Blizz -- New England -- 1998/11/25 17:16

Answer:
No, I do not -- but I'm working on it.

Question:
Which non-Philly player in the league has most impressed you?
Roger Samuels -- Santa Cruz -- 1998/11/25 17:12

Answer:
Probably Yolanda Griffith -- Yoyo -- because she's just a tall player who can go outside, inside, and hit any offensive board that she wants.

Question:
Chasity, if you were'nt playing b-ball what career do you think you would choose?
Cleo -- MS -- 1998/11/25 17:10

Answer:
I would be married an have five kids. No, seriously, I would stay near basketball. I don't know exactly what I'd be doing -- maybe coaching, maybe commentating, something to do with basketball.

Question:
Chasity, what would say you bring to the Rage team? (your playing strengths etc)
Cleo -- MS -- 1998/11/25 16:59

Answer:
I think that would be question to ask my teammates. I try to bring a power game on the inside, I guess.

Question:
How does the pro game differ from you college experience?
Sigitas Bigelis -- San Jose -- 1998/11/25 17:03

Answer:
The pro game seems a little less stressful than college because I wanted to do well in school. I'm enjoying just playing and focusing on basketball.

Question:
Was it hard to adjust to the different sized ABL ball versus college, and which to you prefer?
Roger Samuels -- Santa Cruz -- 1998/11/25 17:08

Answer:
No, it was not hard adjusting to the ABL ball, and I prefer the ABL ball over the college basketball. All the time when I played pick-ups I played with the bigger ball. And my hands are big, so it's not really a problem for me.

Question:
Good luck in your game tomorrow, Who are your best friends on your team?
Dre -- Auburn -- 1998/11/25 17:03

Answer:
I pretty much hang out with everybody. The rookies kinda hang tight together.

Question:
Hi! Chasity, so far you and the Rage have had a good season and have been playing well. Are you ready to take on the Quest tommorrow?
Cleo -- MS -- 1998/11/25 16:58

Answer:
Yes, we are very excited about playing the Quest tomorrow. So far the team has been playing really well together. And when the team plays well together, destiny follows. So we just keep trying to think positive and play well as a team.

Question:
Chasity,Happy Thanksgiving to you!Hello.I followed you from the NCSU days and your really "blowin-up" in Philly.Hows being on a team with my Texas homegirl Taj and how havew you adjusted to ABL life?
Michael Lewis -- Albuquerque -- 1998/11/25 16:57

Answer:
Well, I enjoy playing with Taj because she's experienced and she tries to help me out playing defense, and she tries to let me know how a lot of the players play. She's been a lot of help playing on the inside in a professional league. It's really different from college. I'm trying to adjust to the professional level and help my team.

Question:
Welcome, Chasity. How are you doing tonight? Say hi to all your new fans.
ABL Media Relations -- Palo Alto -- 1998/11/25 16:55

Answer:
Hello. Glad you guys have questions for me tonight and can join in on the conversation..

This whole deal was originally done by Medius Interactive and the American Basketball League, but I saved what you're seeing here before it vanished forever. (Since I was a season ticket holder, I feel they owe me something). Think of me as an historian. Future generations of young girls need to know what could have been.
