The Vashon Island School District has (finally) been able to construct a new track and sports field, and as of the grand opening on September 14, 2018, the Robert Bennedsen Memorial (aka: the Robert Rock) is now where it belongs, in the track and field entry plaza right outside the gym. |

Despite a torrential downpour (that stopped over halftime!) family and friends of 1LT Robert Bennedsen attended the home Pirate football game against Port Townsend to witness the retirement of Robert's football jersey and number 32 at halftime ceremonies.
