Vashon Island Strawberry Festival 2013

A Wednesday Walkabout

	The big story of Vashon Strawberry Festival 2013 is the King County Library System's expansion of the Vashon Island library, and the way it's completely overrun Ober Park. Sure, these are only construction fences now, but even after the project is finished the footprint of the library expansion will dominate Ober Park to an appalling degree. And it manages to isolate a nice, large, well-hidden corner back by the apartments for the crack smokers to hide in...
	So, since there can't be any Ober Park stage for music (for the first time since 1979, by my personal experience) here's where the Ober Park music is supposed to happen. And there'll be no booths -- none -- in Ober Park this year.
