In August of 2014 I've updated this page considerably
The basic issue: I am not trying to "monetize" every aspect of every photograph I take at every possible opportunity. In fact, money is way down the list, way after shooting the photographs I want to shoot, and making what you end up seeing as good as I possibly can make it.
I am not a commercial photographer. I do not sell stock photography, and I do not re-sell my photography for further (commercial) reproduction. If you want to buy retail reprints of someone you know for your personal use, that's lovely. But I'm not in it for the money.
I'm trying to focus (haha! 'focus' - photography joke) more on the photography I want to do, and not on saying "Yes" to everyone who comes along with some sort of a project for me to work on.
What sort of photography do I want to do? Spontaneous events, random events, sports, performances... Island Life...
On my schedule. Not someone else's.
Also, since I'm becoming more and more interested in video (of spontaneous events, random events, sports, performances) I'm finding I have even less free time to fit in someone's project at little or no warning.
Bottom line: if you email me or call me with some project of yours, big or small, I'm now more likely than not to say "Sorry, can't help ya, too busy..."

I have shot:
Unless you (or your kid) is an old Chautauqua buddy of mine, I no longer do Senior photos
(If you don't understand what "old Chautauqua buddy" refers to, I'm afraid I can't help you. If I knew you or your kid from Chautauqua, get in touch with me BY EMAIL and hopefully we can work something out).
The basic issue is that I'm already extremely busy; people wait too long make plans about getting a photo shot and still give me time to work on it; and the high school arbitrarily changes the deadline without telling anyone -- or rather, without my having to check daily to see if it's been changed.
Sooo, sorry...
I shoot digital still photography using both a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Canon EOS 5D Mark II digital SLR camera body, and three Canon L-series zoom lenses

I have shot:
Sports: youth club teams gameday photography, and team and player photos
As my photography has evolved, I've simply become too busy to shoot team photos on any large scale. That said, if you have one team that you want photographed, get in touch with me and we may be able to work something out...
